Cynthia Albrecht is a writer and private tutor.

She grew up in the New York metropolitan area. She has a B.A. in English from Oberlin College. After a short career in publishing she became a history teacher, teaching in urban public schools and private schools. She lives in Philadelphia, where she lives with her husband, her dog, Millie, and her cat, Fiona. She makes her living as a private tutor and is involved in local politics.

Her novel, Edie Parrish, is set in New York’s West Village and Lower East Side in 1932. She is obsessed with the history of New York City.
